Breakfast @ King Albert Park MacDonald's... Having breakfast together. What a wonderful way to start the day with someone you love... =) The person you wanna see first thing in the morning...
~.~.~
The funny thing was the TOTALLYYY mis-match of our attire. Thought she was doing a presentation, so I had to match up to her attire, who knew it was juz a simple presentation of a question during tutorial... So Char in T-shirt & shorts with slippers, and me in a shirt, white berms & loafers. hehe~ offff TOTALLLYYY...~
~.~.~
Early morning bus ride - We witnessed the sight of a bus ride full of "dead bodies" - people who wanna catch as much sleep as possible before they reach their workplace. haha... The long bus ride made me all frozen up & very hungry... not to mention the stench of durian lingering in the bus. I mean who brings durians on board a public bus early in the morning? Don't you know some people dislike durians? hahaha... No ill intentions meant, juz mindless bitching~
~.~.~
Finally arrived @ Mac's... Gosh, STARVING! Went straight for the counter to order food, after seating Char down~ Ordered a MacGriddle's Meal for Char & Hotcakes wiz sausage Meal for myeslf, both with Iced Milo. And I swear Char eats everything with chilli~ MacGriddle's with chilli, hashbrown with chilli, even hotcakes with chilli~ OMG~ Gosh to the MaX~ haha =P Even tried to psycho me to eat my hotcakes wiz syrup & chilli... Y-U-C-K-S~!
~.~.~
After the delicious breakfast, we walked ourselves to Ngee Ann Poly where she brought me around for some sightseeing before her 11am class. But in the end, all good times must come to an end~ as I unwillingly walk her to the elevator, sending her up to her classroom... =(
~.~.~
"Our next meeting will be in another 6 days...
Till then take care of yourself, Silly girl~
Remember what you promised me...
Be a good girl & no fried/heaty food for that sore throat of yours...
& take care of that knee~
You'll *cough me... and I'll *cough you."
- From the Silly boy
Dinner @ Jang Shou Korean BBQ... Tonight my "sis-in-law" just came back to Singapore after her flight, & tomorrow I'll be leaving for Penang for 6 days. Therefore this dinner is a welcome dinner for her & a farewell dinner for me... but frankly it's just another excuse to have ourselves some good food~!!! haha
~.~.~
The restaurant is located @ "The Colours by the Bay", the stretch of eating places beside DXO. Inside the restaurant, the place is very well-kept & clean. Waitresses are a plenty... When the food arrived, the small side dishes only... alot of the waitresses gathered around our table, many hands serving the food~! All the small side dishes (pickled radish, pickles, kimchi, brinjal etc) & the different sauces, in a matter of seconds filled the whole table. Like we are being served by servants from the palace that kind of feeling~
~.~.~
Then more food came... first the DELICIOUS fried egg pancakes which I soooo loved & then, the main courses. There was some soup dish dumped with mushrooms & meat & veggies~ & another dish that had onions & lots of meat, it's like the meat version of Kim-chi~! Wooohoo... Y-U-M-M-Y~!!!
~.~.~
Korean food is N-I-C-E~! Totally new experience~ First time I had it in a restaurant... all those in the foodcourts don't even come close...
~.~.~
Even the table setting is soo UPS... paper got signatures of famous Korean LPGA golfers. And I so like korean chopsticks... Damn cool lor~! Got cravings wan~
~.~.~
Okay... That's my "sis-in-law" & elder brother. So sweet together, but check out the side dishes & sauces that littered the whole table! Abit like no space liao, & the main course isn't even served yet. And there's my fav fried egg pancake with seafood in it... Y-U-M-M-Y~!
~.~.~
This is the chilli sauce that isn't at all spicy! In fact it tastes like sweet sauce~ And that's my fav "brinjal kimchi"~
~.~.~
And there's the radish kimchi my mom likes... Next is the pot of soup where everything is dumped inside - mushrooms, meat, veggies... sorta of like our chinese steamboat...
~.~.~
That's the before & after picture of the same dish~ sorta like BBQ pork/beef in those foodcourts... but much more tastier! Below you have the "steamboat" again... every now & then the waitress returns to put the ingredients in... damn professional sia! And that is the "stone-bowl rice with ingredients laid out neatly with a egg cracked on top" & then they are mashed & mixed together...

Who is a "Hero"? She's my "Hero"... It's a wonderful day! It's been long since I've enjoyed my Sunday weekends without heading home to rest after training & lunch. haha~
~.~.~
Well... Mixed training was fun today. Practised "Capsize Drill"... gosh, so much fun it's hilarious! Training ends. And I skipped lunch with the guys & headed to Suntec. Did some walking around, which ultimately ended up in me slacking out at Starbucks, with my cup of ice blended Java Chip & book. Good way to chill while waiting for someone... I also found out that there are more than one Starbucks outlet in Suntec! OMG...
~.~.~
Anyway, finally Char arrived after her training... both of us carrying paddles... look soooo SEY lor! hahah. First we went for lunch @ the foodcourt near the Convention Centre (dunno what's the name). Then we did some window shopping @ Suntec & Marina Square... Saw the blue Cookie Monster T-shirt she fancied @ Topman & that pair of shoes @ Zara which doesn't come in her size... haha =P. And we saw my T-shirt @ Topman which was going at 40% discount now... sianz haha.
~.~.~
Grabbed an ice cream cone each @ Macdonald's. And continued walking around, window shopping, talking, laughing bout this & that... "LOL" eh, Charmaine!
~.~.~
Then we travelled all the way to IKEA Tampines... to help Charmaine buy some seat pads for pool rowing. We had a great time there... looking at the different showcases, & lying on every single sofa & bed there... "这个sofa/bed是suan的lor~" we always go... hahaha. Then we had dinner @ IKEA too. Charmaine wanted meatballs & chicken wings and so we had meatballs & chicken wings! haha... yummy! =) In the end, we got ourselves 12 seat pads... two hand towels (orange & blue) & another orange normal towel... cool eh... orange towels~!
~.~.~
Time was running late by then. So we took a shuttle bus from IKEA to Sengkang & both of us fell asleep on the bus. The trip on the MRT was funny... Charmaine kept LOL'ing soooo unglam! haha =P And I got caught by Melvin at the bus stop just as Char & I were boarding the bus... haha... Melvin u C-W!
~.~.~
Anyway... that's the end of my wonderful Sunday... Thanks Silly Girl~ =D

In a night of what can go wrong... goes wrong
It's a night of anything that can go wrong... goes wrong.
But trust me, I still had the most wonderful of nights. =)
~.~.~
I learnt that Coffeebean doesn't open 24/7.
I learnt that the power supply @ the Coffeebean does get cut off.
I learnt that the Mac's @ Serangoon Gardens doesn't have any power points.
I learnt that there is no Mac's at Kovan Heartland Mall.
I learnt that there are power points @ the Mac's in PP.
I learnt that you really love blue eyes.
I learnt that "Ba Po's" won "Chio Bu's" in the tug-of-war.
I learnt that you can't row on your opposite side (yet).
I learnt that your body is a full of aches... =P
I learnt that you have a "Fred Perry" sticker on your laptop.
I learnt that you think your sister's poodle looks like a monkey.
I learnt that you like carrying your paddle around.
I learnt that you forgot to switch off the broadband when you left your house.
~.~.~
AND
~.~.~
I also learnt that you have the sweetest, softest voice,
a pair of beautiful eyes,
and a smile that brightens up my day(nite).
~.~.~
I will remember this night forever... =)

"It's not Hard"... After many months of praying to God, asking for directions... I was finally touched, answered by a simple conversation between two characters from a scene in the series "Grey's Anatomy". It is really simple... formed up by the simplest of english words, yet it really convey a powerful message within.
~.~.~
I think it's really marvellous as to how God puts his work into motion, at the most unexpected moments, with the most unexpected things.
~.~.~
"Why is it so hard to make a decision?"
~.~.~
"It's not hard. It's painful but it's not hard. You know what to do already.
If you didn't, you wouldn't be in so much pain."
~.~.~
This phrase finally untied the one big knot torturing my heart, all this while. With this, I can finally unlock the shackles that have binded my feet... and finally for the longest of time, take the first step out & move on (with my life).
~.~.~
Pain comes in all forms. A small twitch from an insect bite. A little soreness from a day at the gym. The random pain when a friend suddenly hits you from the back. The normal pain we live with everyday like a injured knee cap.
~.~.~
Then there's the kind of pain you can't ignore like seeing someone you love with someone else. It's a level of pain so great that it blocks out everything else, makes the rest of the world fade away. Until all we can think about is how much we hurt.
~.~.~
How we manage our pain is up to us. Pain... We anesthetize it, ride it out, embrace it, ignore it. And for some of us, the best way to manage pain is to just push through it. Pain, you have to ride it out, hope it goes away on its own. Hope whatever cause it, heals. There are no solutions, no easy answers. You just breathe deep & wait for it to subside.
~.~.~
Most of the time, pain can be managed. But sometimes the pain gets you when you least expect it. It's way below the belt. It doesn't light up. So when pain comes, you just have to fight through. Coz the truth is you can't outrun it. And life always makes more...

God, Please Bless our 龍妈, Celine through this dark period of time... This will not be an entry about what I did today. But this will be an entry about what I felt today. I am here now, in my room, under the dim light illuminating over my laptop, trying to fathom what Life is about? The question since the beginning of time. And many people have different answers with regards to this question since the beginning of time... I'm not here to question your beliefs, neither am I here to give you the answer. Coz I'm still searching for that answer up till now.
~.~.~
Life is hard, we know that - everyone tells us that... But what we wanna know is, should Life really be THIS hard? Talk about Life hitting you when you least expect it... as soon as you let your guard down. The trick though, is to tackle each "punch" as they come along. And even if it takes you down, stand back up as long as you still have one last breath. Be strong! The fight ain't over till the referee counts to 10. What doesn't kill you only serves to make you stronger.
~.~.~
Life is short too. We know that too - everyone tells us that too. Time is already wasting here. Be thankful. Be grateful. Be happy. Laugh. Cherish your loved ones. And as JinHan said this morning: "Know What You Want". Do what you want. Do what you must. Don't wait till it's too late...
~.~.~
I recently came across this famous person, a scientist & inventor from the past, Benjamin Franklin... A couple hundred years ago, Benjamin Franklin shared with the world his secret to his success.
~.~.~
"Never leave that till tomorrow which you could do today", he said.
~.~.~
This was the man who discovered electricity, you would think more about to listen to what he had to say. I don't know for sure why we put things off. But if I really had to guess, which might be a good guess, I say it has alot to do with "Fear". The 4 letter F-word! Fear of failure. Fear of pain. Fear of rejection.
~.~.~
Sometimes the fear is just that of making a decision - because what if you're wrong? What if you're making a mistake you can't undo?
~.~.~
Whatever it is we're afraid of. One thing holds true, that is, by the time the pain of not doing the thing gets worse than the fear of doing it. It can feel like we're carrying around a big tumour - slowly killing us from the inside out.
~.~.~
The early bird catches the worm. A stitch in time saves nine. He who hesitates is lost. We can't pretend we haven't been told. We all heard the proverbs. Heard the philosophers. Heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time. Heard the damned poets urging us to seize the day.
~.~.~
Still sometimes, we have to see for ourselves. We have to make our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today's possibilities under tomorrow's rug until we can't anymore. Until we understand for ourselves what Benjamin Franklin meant.
~.~.~
That knowing is better than wondering...
~.~.~
That waking is better than sleeping...
~.~.~
That even the biggest failure, even the worst, most intractable mistake beats the hell outta never trying~!

I woke up late this afternoon in my hall. Feel kinda weird to be back in my aircon room after all this time... but "weird" in the good kind of way. Had to leave school soon enough, to head down to The Cathay in town to catch the Chinese blockbuster movie "Red Cliff" with Melissa, Xiuyun & Anli. This time, I asked Wei Chen to come along too, for a little get-together-for-old-times-sake with Melissa, since they were acquainted with one another since secondary school days through a mutual friend.

~.~.~

"Nothing like a coffee, a book & a sofa @ Starbucks to laze the afternoon away..."
~.~.~
I arrived early as I predicted. And I took the chance to do what I always wanted to do - sit down on a cushion seat @ Starbucks, ordered a cup of Black Mocha Frappuccino, enjoy writing down some thoughts, reading a book, studying the people around me & wasting the day away... It really ain't that bad after all. You, people, should really try it out sometimes... =)
~.~.~
This carried on for an hour or so, before Wei Chen finally came & joined me @ Starbucks. Not too long after that, came Melissa & XiuYun who bought the tixs, joined us. It was already approaching the starting of the movie, & still no sight of Anli. We had to enter the cinema then. Bumped into Melvin who happened to be catching the same movie as us... Singapore is sooo small~ Anli finally managed to make it in time before the movie started.
~.~.~
"Red Cliff" was really nice in my opinion, though some of them said it was a bit draggy. What I like about Chinese war films like this is that the war is about wits, strategies & outsmarting the enemy. Not like the american films where the war is about the sheer number of troops & firepower. Another thing is the sense of brotherhood portraited in these chinese war films. Something whichby we, Chinese can fully comprehend. While some of the girls were not too happy with the abrupt ending. Or with the fact that there's gonna be Part Two. Haha... All I can say is patience, dears. Patience. Good movies are worth waiting for...
~.~.~
After that, we went over to Plaza Singapore for dinner. Cafe Cartel was full, with people queuing up outside. So I suggested going over to Aji Tei (Japanese Cuisine & Dessert House). Food was not that bad... but I personally feel that its desserts are more sought after than its main dishes. =P
~.~.~
Spinach Bacon Omu Rice & some Claypot Tomato Set Meal?
Curry Chicken Omu Rice & Vanilla Sundae with mango, muchi & red bean paste
Green tea ice cream sundae with muchi, red bean paste & black honey.
Aji Tei Japanese Cuisine & Dessert House.
~.~.~
After dinner, we went shopping at The Cathay for a while. I was looking for a present, for my dearest godsister Philicia - the sister I wished I have but never had... =P Had a few choices in mind, but couldn't really make up my mind to get "that" right one. And I didn't want to carry on shopping with a heavy bag packed with my laptop & stuffs, so we decided to go our separate ways back home... So that leaves the present on hold for the moment...
~.~.~
Surprise, surprise... Philicia! =D
This is a story about a cup of salty coffee... Yes you heard me alright. A cup of salty coffee... I happened to chance upon this love story while I was watching TV one night. Thought it was pretty interesting, & I wondered if there's anything about it on the internet. And guess what I found... Hmmm... =] Here's how it goes:
~.~.~
"L met her at a party. S was so outstanding, plenty of guys chasing after her, while he was so normal, no one hardly paid any attention to him. At the end of the party, L invited S to have a cup of coffee with him, she was surprised. But due to her being polite, she agreed...
~.~.~
They sat down in a nice cafe, L was too nervous to say anything at all. S felt uncomfortable, she kept thinking to herself... that small voice inside her head kept going, "please, let me go home... please, let me go home..." All of a sudden, L asked the passing waiter: "Would you please get me some salt? I'd like to put it in my coffee."
~.~.~
Everybody turned & stared at him as if he was an alien, including S sitting across the table. Dumbfounded, the waiter passed L the salt. His face was as red as the buttocks of a baboon now. But still he put the salt in his coffee, stirred it a few times & drank it... Curious, S asked him: "Why do you put salt in your coffee? Do you drink your coffee like this all the time?"
~.~.~
L replied: "When I was a little boy, I lived near the sea. I love playing in the sea. I love the taste of the sea, just like the taste of my salty coffee. So now everytime I have a cup of salty coffee, I always think of my childhood, my hometown, the sea. I miss my hometown very much, I miss my parents who are still living there".
~.~.~
While saying all that, tears begin to fill his eyes. S was deeply touched.
~.~.~
That's his true feeling, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can say out his homesickness, he must be a man who loves home, cares about home, has the responsiblity of home...
~.~.~
Then she also started to speak, spoke about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family. That turned out to be a really nice talk... and a beautiful beginning of their story together.
~.~.~
They continued to date. S eventually found out that L was a man who met all her demands; he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm & caring. He was such a good person but she almost missed him! But thanks to his salty coffee! Then, the story continued just like every beautiful love story... The princess married the prince, & they lived a happy life together.
~.~.~
And, everytime S made coffee for L, she put some salt in the coffee, as she knew that's the way he liked it.
~.~.~
40 years later on one fateful day, L passed away on his deathbed with S by his side till the very last moment. Days later, S discovered a letter written by L. It read: "My dearest, will you ever forgive me, forgive my lie of a life-time. This was the only lie I've ever said to you... about the salty coffee. Remember the first time we dated? In the cafe? I was so nervous at that time. I wanted some suger actually, but I blurted out salt instead. It was too late for me to change it, so I just went ahead with the mistake. I never would have thought that could be the start of our communication!
~.~.~
I tried to tell you the truth many times later, but I was too afraid to do so, as I have promised not to lie to you for anything... But now as I'm dying, I'm afraid of nothing so I have to tell you the truth: I don't like salty coffee, what a strange & bad taste it has...
~.~.~
But I have had salty coffee for my whole life! Since I knew you, I've never felt sorry for anything I've done for you. Having you with me is the biggest happiness in my whole life. If I can live for the second time, I would still want to know you & have you with me for the rest of my life, even if I have to drink the salty coffee again".
~.~.~
Her tears made the letter totally wet, by the time S finished reading the content.
~.~.~
One day, someone asked her... What's the taste of salty coffee?
~.~.~
It's sweet. She replied. "
~.~.~
Love is not to forget, but to forgive...
~.~.~
Love is not to see, but to understand...
~.~.~
Love is not to hear, but to listen...
~.~.~
Love is not to let go, but to hold on...
~.~.~
~~~ Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss & ends with a tear ~~~
~.~.~
The Nike+ Human Race 10K on August 31st, 4:30pm...
Come this August 31st, Singapore will be joining 23 other cities in the world for an unparalleled 'human race'... Same day, same time...
~.~.~
Renowned Sports power-house Nike is putting together this enormous running event that estimates one million participants running 10 kilometers each. The event held across 24 cities across the globe is known as the "The Nike+ Human Race 10K", and around 10,000 places have been reserved for Singaporeans, with every individual runner receiving a Nike race-tee with a unique number emblazoned on the front. In other words, to me, that means I can walk down Orchard Road & not find another T-shirt bearing the same number as mine, unlike the Standard Chartered 42.195km marathon. =P
~.~.~
Singapore will also be the ONLY South East Asian country to be featured in this race that includes major cities such as London, Madrid, Shanghai, Warsaw, Los Angeles, Melbourne & Vancouver as official venues.
~.~.~
Starting from the Esplanade & ending at The Padang, the race route will take runners around iconic, historical, cultural city landmarks & through many of the city's scenic neighbourhoods like the Singapore Flyer, Esplanade Bridge & Lau Pa Sat. The uniqueness of this event is the leverage of music to introduce, incite & involve the youth of today. The sound of the event will be amplified right from the beginning of the race throughtout the route till the finish-line with a finale concert that will be staged by local & international performances by bands like EIC, percussion outfit Wicked Aura, & Boston rock band Boys Like Girls on hand to pump up the volume & energy levels.
~.~.~
Words have it that running aside us in the race are triathlete Mok Ying Ren & Ultra-marathon winner Jeannette Wang. From the local celebrity side, we have Joanne Peh, Nick Shen & Ix Shen running with us too. Maybe we can get a photo taking session with them? =P sounds cool...
~.~.~
Apart from the interesting fact that we are running with 24 other cities across the globe at exactly the same time, and the obvious health benefits of preparing for & running the race... the next reason is that it's for charity. You get to choose one of the three global charity organisations to receive part of the registration fees. They are: The World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF), The Lance Armstrong Foundation, & The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). I know there's the tendency for people to worry as to how much of these proceeds actually go to charity, after some unhappy examples per se. But that shouldn't be excuse or stumbling block to stop believing in the act of charity... =) So let's loosen up & run, be it charity or not.
~.~.~
Most importantly, is to have fun~! 10km of painful fun... hahaha. I learnt that when I tried running 10km around Potong Pasir, Bishan Park & Ang Mo Kio, with my pal WC last night. We took around 50 minutes to complete the whole distance... That resulted in the aching of my legs the next morning (can't run Shear's Bridge for training that morning)... haha... Need to, have to train up for the race...~
~.~.~
Details of the Race:
"A couple of booze...
can really take you away from your problems, even for a couple of moments..."
~.~.~
Sunday Midnight... Went for supper with Wei Chen, my long-time friend cum primary & secondary classmate cum neighbour... It's been a long time since we went for supper. And our supper normally ends up with us talking about our lives.
~.~.~
Tonight we talked over a couple of booze (by a couple, I really mean one bottle... As you know, one bottle is enough to knock me out... haha!). Anyways tonight, I was the one doing most of the talking... talking bout how messed up I think my life is currently in, talking bout life, talking bout relationship problems, talking about alot more things under the influence of alcohol... haha! We just sat under the void deck & just talked for like 4 hours...
~.~.~
So I really just wanna say Thank you to all my long-time friends from the "Gang of Six"... All of whom I have known since secondary school days, some even as far back as primary school days. We may be busy with our own lives, but we still meet up once in a while to gather around & talk about the old days. They are like the stars; they may be far away, but whenever you lift your head up into the sky, they are always there for you.
~.~.~
Thanks guys~ =)
~.~.~
"Conclusion: Know what you want, before talking bout what someone else wants..."
Saturday... suddenly seems so different & difficult to pass the time without the usual weekend training. Was supposed to go rollerblading @ East Coast Park with friends in the afternoon. But one of them, in particular my roomie, Vincent, couldn't make it on time. So we had to postpone the session to a later date...
~.~.~
Some of you who know me, must be wondering "Does Leslie blade? I didn't know he blades..." Well, the reason is that I just bought my first pair of blades together with Vincent last tuesday, & I'm very keen in picking up this new skill: rollerblading!
We went to the Skateline retail outlet at Peninsula Plaza, & I bought my blades for $199 & some protection gear for $49.90. It's a pretty decent pair of "beginner's" blades according to the lovely store assistant, Chloe, who attended to us. Chloe is also a fellow blader & she was very friendly & patient with us. I'll give her a Best Service award anytime... =) She took time to explain to us what to look out for when choosing a pair of rollerblades, what is supposed to be our correct blade sizes, how to wear our blades correctly, & even taught me some blading tips when she found out I was a beginner. Haha... super friendly sales assistant!
~.~.~
So that's the story... I have my very own pair of blades now. And I can blade freely in school & won't be needing to rent blades to blade in ECP now... =)
~.~.~
Well, anyway since the blading session @ ECP is cancelled. I was pretty free for the day. So my mom dragged me to her beautician to have a FACIAL done for me. Haha... Initially I didn't wanna go, but like I said, I was very free & bored... so what the heck...
~.~.~
Took a cab to Beauty World Shopping Centre @ Bukit Timah, next to my mom's old workplace. Had lunch & headed to the salon. It's a pretty small one, sufficiently managed by the Auntie beautician, who has been an old friend of my mom's.
~.~.~
Underwent my facial - had a face wash to cleanse my skin, followed by some steam to open my pores. Then came the painful process of squeezing out all the whiteheads & blackheads. Gosh! Did it take a long time & boy, did it hurt... But Auntie said that I had a high tolerance level, coz some of her male customers who are about the same age as me, make all kinds of noises & hammer on the wall during the "squeeze"... After that, my face looked like it was stung by bees, all red & swollen. Had a shock myself when I saw it in the mirror! haha... Next, had some cream applied & massaged to reduce the redness & relieve all that stress done on my face earlier on. Then I had a face mask applied & I just lied down there & fell asleep for like 30 minutes. It felt Shiok!
~.~.~
Overall, the whole experience of going through the facial was a great one. Being able to lay down on the bed, & have someone serve you. And after the whole thing, leaving your face feeling fresh & revitalised! Damn shiok! Facials are no longer just a girl's privilege anymore these days... And Auntie says to visit her again in three weeks time for Round Two... haha~
NTU Dragonboat - PM Cup! We won it back...
"NTU: The Winning Team in IVP mens & PM Cup"
"NTU Dragonboat is featured on the NTU Official Website..."
~.~.~
It's been long since I lasted blogged again... Damn laptop always kena virus, have to keep sending for repairs. Now, I have to "build up" my softwares from scratch again. Worst of all, I lost most of my songlist and pictures... sianz~...
~.~.~
So, the first important event that must be blogged about, that is truly worth blogging about is the PM Cup (Dragonboat Festival Race '08) that took place last weekend on 28th & 29th June, Saturday & Sunday~!
~.~.~
NTU Dragonboat finally reclaimed the PM Cup this year! We won NUS! We've redeemed ourselves this time round over the loss of the PM Cup last year by a whisker, by winning this year's PM Cup by ONE BOAT LENGTH~!
~.~.~
Apart from that, we also managed to emerge as champions for IVP mixed & IVP mens! Indeed, our months of hard work have finally paid off. It was definitely a day of cheers & celebration! Too bad we didn't come in first for Mens Open too... it surely is a regret.
~.~.~
However, though we won back the PM Cup this year. The harder side of this "happily-ever-after" story is defending the Cup for the next two years so that we can have the first permanent PM Cup that rests in our School.
~.~.~
Word has it that by winning the PM Cup for three consecutive years, the School will have the PM Cup made in its name to be kept by that particular school from then on. While the organisers will have another PM Cup made to carry on the tradition of it going to the winning School to be kept by it till the next PM Cup race. And up till now, neither NTU nor NUS has won the PM Cup for three consecutive years...
~.~.~
So the question is... Can NTU be the School to accomplish this task, and leave behind its greatest legacy of all~?
~.~.~
I believe we can... we got what it takes...
