"It's not Hard"... After many months of praying to God, asking for directions... I was finally touched, answered by a simple conversation between two characters from a scene in the series "Grey's Anatomy". It is really simple... formed up by the simplest of english words, yet it really convey a powerful message within.
~.~.~
I think it's really marvellous as to how God puts his work into motion, at the most unexpected moments, with the most unexpected things.
~.~.~
"Why is it so hard to make a decision?"
~.~.~
"It's not hard. It's painful but it's not hard. You know what to do already.
If you didn't, you wouldn't be in so much pain."
~.~.~
This phrase finally untied the one big knot torturing my heart, all this while. With this, I can finally unlock the shackles that have binded my feet... and finally for the longest of time, take the first step out & move on (with my life).
~.~.~
Pain comes in all forms. A small twitch from an insect bite. A little soreness from a day at the gym. The random pain when a friend suddenly hits you from the back. The normal pain we live with everyday like a injured knee cap.
~.~.~
Then there's the kind of pain you can't ignore like seeing someone you love with someone else. It's a level of pain so great that it blocks out everything else, makes the rest of the world fade away. Until all we can think about is how much we hurt.
~.~.~
How we manage our pain is up to us. Pain... We anesthetize it, ride it out, embrace it, ignore it. And for some of us, the best way to manage pain is to just push through it. Pain, you have to ride it out, hope it goes away on its own. Hope whatever cause it, heals. There are no solutions, no easy answers. You just breathe deep & wait for it to subside.
~.~.~
Most of the time, pain can be managed. But sometimes the pain gets you when you least expect it. It's way below the belt. It doesn't light up. So when pain comes, you just have to fight through. Coz the truth is you can't outrun it. And life always makes more...
