Life is better with a little drama in it

God, Please Bless our 龍妈, Celine through this dark period of time... This will not be an entry about what I did today. But this will be an entry about what I felt today. I am here now, in my room, under the dim light illuminating over my laptop, trying to fathom what Life is about? The question since the beginning of time. And many people have different answers with regards to this question since the beginning of time... I'm not here to question your beliefs, neither am I here to give you the answer. Coz I'm still searching for that answer up till now.

Life is hard, we know that - everyone tells us that... But what we wanna know is, should Life really be THIS hard? Talk about Life hitting you when you least expect it... as soon as you let your guard down. The trick though, is to tackle each "punch" as they come along. And even if it takes you down, stand back up as long as you still have one last breath. Be strong! The fight ain't over till the referee counts to 10. What doesn't kill you only serves to make you stronger.

Life is short too. We know that too - everyone tells us that too. Time is already wasting here. Be thankful. Be grateful. Be happy. Laugh. Cherish your loved ones. And as JinHan said this morning: "Know What You Want". Do what you want. Do what you must. Don't wait till it's too late...

I recently came across this famous person, a scientist & inventor from the past, Benjamin Franklin... A couple hundred years ago, Benjamin Franklin shared with the world his secret to his success.

"Never leave that till tomorrow which you could do today", he said.

This was the man who discovered electricity, you would think more about to listen to what he had to say. I don't know for sure why we put things off. But if I really had to guess, which might be a good guess, I say it has alot to do with "Fear". The 4 letter F-word! Fear of failure. Fear of pain. Fear of rejection.

Sometimes the fear is just that of making a decision - because what if you're wrong? What if you're making a mistake you can't undo?

Whatever it is we're afraid of. One thing holds true, that is, by the time the pain of not doing the thing gets worse than the fear of doing it. It can feel like we're carrying around a big tumour - slowly killing us from the inside out.

The early bird catches the worm. A stitch in time saves nine. He who hesitates is lost. We can't pretend we haven't been told. We all heard the proverbs. Heard the philosophers. Heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time. Heard the damned poets urging us to seize the day.

Still sometimes, we have to see for ourselves. We have to make our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today's possibilities under tomorrow's rug until we can't anymore. Until we understand for ourselves what Benjamin Franklin meant.
